Project Background
My Project is based on ASL (American Sign Language). I chose this topic to do an extensive project on because I have a
passion for the Deaf Comunity and sign language. I feel strongly about everyone learning ASL and the Deaf Community being included in everything.

English
For my English portion of my project, I made a self help phrase for coaches. I chose the word Audible because it means "able to be heard". I used each letter in the word to create a tip for coaches that have a Deaf athlete on their team. This can be used as a handout for the coaches/instructors. I started this project by researching tips and modifications that coaches use when coaching all Deaf teams. I used those tips to create a phrase that would help coaches when understanding how to include Deaf athletes on hearing teams. I put Deaf athletes into the context of a hearing sports team.
Art
For my art portion of my project, I created an infographic based on Deaf athletes that had major accomplishments. I included my self help phrase and some statistics. I started this project by researching other infographics and examples. I then used those examples to understand what to include in mine. To finish it off I added all of my research and created a well put together infographic.
Social Studies
For my Social Studies portion of my project, I wrote journal entries from the point of view of an all Deaf person. In my entires I am an all Deaf female, I start off in High School and then continue to age throughout my entries. I write a few before technology was invented for the Deaf and after technology was invented. I started by researching technology and how it has affected the Deaf Community. I put technology into the context of the Deaf Community.
